Gypsum is a common hydrated calcium sulphate mineral. Varieties of Gypsum include Satin Spar (fibrous) , Selenite (clear crystalline), Alabaster (fine grained) and Desert Rose (brown sand inclusions). Gypsum crystals can form interesting wavy formations. Selenite is the transparent colourless crystalline variety of Gypsum described as having a moon like glow. Selenite can be included with druse and water (Enhydro). Satin Spar is often incorrectly sold as Selenite. Selenite is easily scratched by finger nail. |

Selenite stimulates the third eye, crown and transpersonal chakras, and is the perfect crystal for developing spiritual awareness. Selenite can be used in meditation to act like a ‘TV tuner’, tuned by intent to receive visuals on the screen of the mind. Selenite acts as communication highway to soul consciousness, allowing access to past and future life guidance. Selenite clears energy blocks and attachments within the aura. Selenite placed in the corners of a room provides a powerful protective energetic grid. |
